THE Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has threatened to ignore invitation by the House of Representatives over no confidence vote passed on him.
The lower chamber recently passed a no confidence vote on Fayemi and the Minister of State, Hon. Bawa Bwari following their inability to address the lawmakers on the state of affairs in the steel sector, especially on Ajaokuta Steel.
“We haven’t even been communicated what the whole thing is all about, except what we saw or read in the media. But when they communicate us officially, we will know how to respond,” Fayemi said on Friday as explained to reporters that the lawmakers were yet to formally communicate the ministry on the said vote of no confidence.
The former Ekiti State Governor said the no confidence vote as unbecoming, unwarranted and unfounded.
