POLICE have identified the school girl, who was struck and killed Tuesday by a school bus in Brooklyn as Patience Albert.
Investigators said the bus driver, identified as 61-year-old Pedro Colon, has been charged with two counts of failure to yield to a pedestrian and two counts of failure to exercise due care.
The 10-year-old student was crossing a street in the East New York neighborhood around 6:45 a.m.
She was hit by a bus as it was turning right, according to police.
She was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said the bus driver was arrested on charges of failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care.
