THERE are indications of an imminent total lockdown of Lagos state due to coronavirus pandemic, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said Friday.
‘’We are moving in the direction of a total lockdown but there are numbers or indices that we need to see before we carry it out, which we have yet to see,’’ the Lagos State Governor said while giving an update on the situation of the pandemic.
‘’We need to see a huge spike in the numbers of confirmed cases, so, we are looking at that,” he added.
According to the Governor, Ikeja and Eti-Osa local government areas had the highest number of patients, out of the 44 confirmed cases in Lagos state.
The state accounts for 44 out of 70 confirmed cases so far in Nigeria.
Sanwo-Olu however, noted that Lagos was gradually moving towards the number.
