COMMISSIONER for Health in Ondo State, Dr. Wahab Adegbenro has died. He died of COVID- 19. He was 65.
Adegbenro’s death came 48 hours after the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu announced that he had tested positive for COVID- 19.
Reports reaching 24/7INQUIRER indicate that Adegbenro passed on at the state infectious disease hospital in Akure.
The late Commissioner was a native of Ilara-Mokin Ifedore, Adegbenro.
It would be recalled that after his public announcement on Monday, Governor Akeredolu had directed all his cabinet members, aides and others who had constant contacts with him to undergo compulsory COVID-19 test.
