Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Rise By 298 to 49,068

THE Nigeria Centre for Disease Control – NCDC says the country has recorded 298 new cases of COVID-19.

According to the centre’s report, the latest figure brought the number of confirmed cases in the country to 49,068.

Based on the NCDC report, Plateau recorded 108 cases, Kaduna, 49; Lagos, 47; Ogun, 18; Osun, 17.

Elsewhere in the Federal Capital Territory – FCT, 15 cases were recorded while Ondo has 14.

Others are Edo, eight; Oyo, six; Akwa Ibom and Cross River, four each; Borno, three; Ekiti, two. Bauchi, Kano and Rivers recorded one each.

The centre noted that the country has so far treated and discharged 36,497 patients. NCDC however, said 975 persons have died.”
