Lagos Declares Friday Work Free

CIVIL servants in Lagos State have been told to take Friday off work, so, they can collect their Permanent Voter Cards in readiness for next week’s elections.

The State Government, in a statement on Thursday, also to private sector employers to release their workers early on Friday to enable them participate in the process.

The statement signed the Head of Service, Mrs. Oluseyi Williams, explained the importance of the one-day holiday.

“The prosperity and the brighter rewarding future that we all seek, for ourselves and our children over the next four years, will be determined by what we do in the next few days,’’ the statement said.
