THE crisis rocking the ruling All Progressives Congress – APC, may be over soon, if the words of President Muhammadu Buhari were to be taken seriously.
President Buhari Monday met with some governors of the APC on Monday, assuring them that all intra party problems would be taken care of in no time.
Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum – PGF, and Katina State Governor, Atiku Bagudu, who led the Governors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, told reporters after the meeting with Buhari, that the forum presented its position on the crisis to the President.
“The reason for our visit is to discuss with the President, as our party leader and as the leader that millions of Nigerians trust, to discuss party issues and the position of the Progressive Governors to support all steps to unify and bring about peaceful resolution in our party, the All Progressives Congress,’’ Bagudu said.
The Governor did not disclose details of the position taken by the PGF.
He however, said that conflict was normal in a political party, adding that they were proof of the democratic nature of the APC.
