THE Inspector General of Police – IGP, will appear before an adhoc committee set up by the House of Representatives on Thursday, October 22.
The Joint House of Representatives Committees on Justice, Human Right and Police Affairs is set up to investigate the alleged extra-judicial killing and brutality by the now-defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad – SARS, of the Nigeria Police Force.
Chairman of the joint committees, Ugonna Ozurigbo made this known during a chat with reporters in Abuja on Thursday.
The committee has made two WhatsApp contacts and an email address available for victims of police brutality to send complains and experiences.
According to Ozurigbo, the IGP will answer questions relating to the activities of officers of the institution.
