Suspected Killers Olufon of Ifon, Oba Adeusi Arrested

SOME people suspected of killing a traditional ruler in Ondo State, the Olufon of Ifon, Oba Israel Adeusi, have been apprehended.

The late Oba Adeusi was shot near Elegbeka village along the Benin-Akure highway while returning to his community after a meeting in Akure, the State capital.

A Commander of the Ondo Security Network Agency known as Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed this on Wednesday.

According to Adeleye, the suspects were arrested by a combined team of security operatives, who stormed the Elegbaka forest after the killing of the Olufon of Ifon.

Adeleye also pointed out that four kidnapped victims were rescued during the search for the killers of the late Oba.

He said the arrested suspects were undergoing interrogations.
