GOVERNOR Nyesom Wike has warned secessionists to stay completely off Rivers, promising to protect the state and its people against those with such agenda.
Wike said on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, that Rivers is an autonomous state.
‘’I will not allow anybody to come to Rivers State and tell us that we are part of them, and we will do everything possible to protect our interest,’’ the Governor said.
“We are a friendly people. We will allow anybody to do business here, but nobody should go beyond doing business to hoist unnecessary flags here. We will not take that.”
He urged the people of the state to be vigilant while urging them to report suspicious people and movement in order to avert any possible attack.
