THE Nigerian Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Lawan, has appealed to those calling for revenge on the murder Ahmed Gulak to allow authorities to serve justice.
Gulak, a top member of the All Progressive Congress – APC, was assassinated by yet to be identified gunmen in Owerri, Imo State on Sunday.
In a statement on Monday, Lawan described the gruesome killing of the former Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly as “one crime too many.”
The Senate President called for a swift investigation that would lead to the arrest and prosecution of those involved in the crime, adding that there was no justification for the brutal murder of a fellow citizen.
Gulak was murdered on his way to the Sam Mbakwe Airport to catch a flight to Abuja.
