The call follows ‘degenerating’ security situation in the state, according to the opposition party on Thursday.

The PDP claimed that Uzodinma has failed to secure the lives and property of the Imo people.

The State Chairman of the PDP, Charles Ugwu, said it was necessary for Uzodinma to throw in the towel, because the Governor could not guarantee the safety and security of lives and property in Imo.

Ugwu also noted that the governor had no answer to the spate of killings in the state.

The PDP urged the Federal Government to set up a panel to investigate the the gruesome murder of former presidential aide, Ahmed Gulak.
